On behalf of our client we are seeking a Relationship Manager, Trust & Wealth Management to be based in Barbados.
Responsibilities of the role will include –
· Administering a book of international and domestic trusts, companies, foundations and other entities for High Net Worth individuals and corporations.
Building and maintaining relationships with Settlors, Beneficiaries, their advisors and colleagues throughout the banks network.
· Maintain a funnel of opportunities for each relationship and a pipeline for pending results.
· Create business opportunities.
· Work closely with Regional Senior management in client relationship strategy.
· Contribute to the growth and profitability of the Unit.
· Ensuring all files remain compliant with both company and regulatory policies and guidelines.
· Completing tasks that arise as a result of the client periodic review process and ensuring that all risk and compliance and other internal control processes are attended to in an efficient and timely manner.
· Assist in the supervision, training and development of the trust officers and administrators.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience –
· Appropriate undergraduate or graduate degree and/or have a professional qualification: ACIB, ICSA, STEP Designation, ACCA or CPA.
· Sound knowledge of international trust and company structures. Good knowledge of the relevant laws and treaties which affect the Barbados offshore financial services sector.
· At least five years experience in trust and/or company administration/ financial services environment.
· Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. Knowledge of custody or banking systems is an asset.
· Demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills. A working knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese would be an asset.
· Strong client facing experience combined with maintaining a client book of business is desired.
· Experience of strong sales skills would be advantageous
