Caribbean Destinations for Expat Jobseekers

The Caribbean boasts a host of wonderful island nations to live and work, from the small, but prosperous financial services destinations such as the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands, to larger islands such as Jamaica and Trinidad.

Whatever industry you work in, whether it be tourism, trades, accounting, legal, admin or anything else, there's almost certainly a Caribbean job waiting for you.

Here we highlight some of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean.

The Cayman Islands

Situated in the heart of the Caribbean Sea, a few hundred miles west of Jamaica, the Cayman Islands has established itself as a key player in the offshore financial services sector.

Each year hundreds of expat professionals make the move to Grand Cayman to take up employment with some of the biggest names in the offshore services industry.

The island boasts offices of the Big Four accounting firms including KMPG and Deloitte, as well as the head offices of offshore legal giants Maples & Calder and Walkers.

With a population of around 60,000 the Cayman Islands is a small island nation - comprised of about 65% expats.

It is a British Overseas Territory which gives peace of mind to many thinking of relocating to the Caribbean. As well as financial services, tourism is a big employer on the islands with plenty of seasonal work available.
